You are not going to hear this in the news tomorrow, but I am in East Jerusalem right now, and I am listening to serious gun fire going down. This is not a celebration, but a fire fight. Most likely, an arrest went awry and broke down into an old-fashioned gunfight, but with automatic weapons. It's a beatiful night and the bullets make for relaxing music.

Do you also love the smell of napalm in the morning?

What makes you think that Israel can disarm Hizbollah now when they have previously failed? What's the mood like there- do we have the will to do the right thing and take them out (even if that means massive ground invasion) or not? P.S. When is your soujurn to the land of plenty (plenty of fatasses like me and Vadim)?

Israel cannot disarm Hizbollah. Hizbollah can only be killed off to the point that their remnants fall to their knees and surrender. This requires full-on land warfare, and it's worth it. Otherwise, Hizbollah will not be defeated in any meaningful long-term sense. 80% of Israelis support this approach, but that doesn't mean the government will follow the public sentiment. I can only hope the government stands up to the world and says that Israel will do whatever is right for itself, with disregard for other nations' opinions.
My sojourn to the land of plenty has begun as of two days ago, and it will continue until September 13th. And so far, I can attest that the US of A is full of fatasses.
